We remain true to our founding principles, combining the finest fibres, & craftsmanship to create products for use in our day-to-day lives, that are made to be enjoyed.
Saturday 30th March, we will be at Burrawang Easter Market. Look forward to seeing you all!
During recent travels in India.... we discovered an Emporium established to provide an opportunity for ‘grass-root’ artisans from various regions around India to showcase & sell their products...
Loving beautiful textiles in all shapes & forms, we selected a few handcrafted wraps & pashminas with unique woven designs & gold foil prints to offer as part of our online ever-changing treasures and surprises. Enjoy!
Over the years sourcing & working with cashmere, have been curious re when it all first began... Who woke up one day and decided that pulling the fibre from a wily stubborn goat, with it's guard hair, low yield per animal (takes the fibre from several goats, just to knit one sweater) was all going to be worthwhile.
Turns out delving into the history of cashmere requires a lot of digging! Am currently researching to write a book, reading hundreds of research documents - DNS analysis of cashmere goats, the many and various civilisations along The Silk Road, even the Customs Logs of Ancient Rome. For those interested, will share my musings along the way...
We are often asked for natural alternatives to scent wardrobes, be it to repel those pesky moths, or simply something fragrant to tuck in the sock drawer...
And finally they are here. Individually stitched silk sachets, finished with ribbon loops to hang in your wardrobe or slide in your drawers.
Little parcels of fabulousness for the home + gifting to loved ones.
While scent from nature has been enjoyed since time begun, a recent archeological find, is placing the world's oldest perfume industry in Pyrgos, Cyprus, believed to be more than 4,000 years old.
